Author Joyce Rouse holds a North Carolina Birth–Kindergarten License. She began teaching in 2006 after earning her degree from Campbell University. She spent 15 years educating elementary students with diverse abilities. During that time, she gained recognition as teacher of the year. This honor was awarded in 2016 at Middlesex Elementary School in the North Carolina Nash County Schools district. Then, she earned a Master’s in Training and Development from North Carolina State University in 2019. In 2021, she transitioned to adult learning, applying her classroom insights to promote positive student-teacher relationships. Her work highlights the impact of meaningful educator connections in fostering safe, enriching learning environments.
